Just breathe.
Shutting my laptop I collapsed back against the pillows.
My head was hurting and I felt like punching the shit out of something.
No matter how many times I told myself to relax it wouldn’t happen.
Keeping my eyes closed I didn’t move as I heard the bedroom door close.
A couple of seconds later the bed shifted before I felt her body rest against mine.
“You okay?” She asked quietly as her lips pressed against my cheek.
Sighing “yeah” I knew it wouldn’t make her leave.
“Dinners ready.”
Opening my eyes I found her worried eyes on me before offering her a smile.
“Thanks.”
Watching her sit up I did the same before resting against the headboard.
“How are you feeling?”
“Fine,” she smiled as she interlaced our fingers.
This morning I woke up and took a shower getting ready for work while she went to make breakfast for Greyson. By the time I had managed to get dressed she came running into the bathroom, nearly knocking me over, before throwing up.
I tried to get her to stay home but she didn’t, she said she was fine.
Dropping my gaze to our hands I waited a couple of seconds before looking up at her.
“I have to tell you something.”
“Okay.”
“You know how everything’s been going good at work?”
Nodding she kept her gaze on me making me want to look away.
“It’s not official yet, but a lot of the guys are saying that we might have to leave again.”
She didn’t say anything. Thumb that had been rubbing against my hand stopped as she dropped her gaze.
“It hasn’t been finalized yet-“
“I’m pregnant.”
At first I thought I’d miss heard her but the weak smile she gave me told me I didn’t.
